Laibach is not only the best known cultural export of Slovenia, this artist collective has also been a role model and provocation for the entire international music and art scene since its formation 35 years ago. According to Trent Reznor, Nine Inch Nails would not exist without Laibach and even Rammstein are hardly conceivable without their Slovenian predecessors. Laibach’s current tour is entitled “We come in peace”, inspired by the Finnish Space-Nazi grotesque “Iron Sky” to which the Slovenians recently wrote the soundtrack. Stopping off at Mousonturm on their tour, they will be bringing with them new arrangements of old classics, such as Geburt einer Nation, Leben heißt Leben or Across the Universe, as well as new material from their most recent album. Laibach live is like a hurricane mixture of disco and techno, citing military marches and heavy metal.
