Mousonturm pretty in pink! We celebrate 15 years of the Nippon Connection – the largest film festival for Japanese film worldwide. This year, the festival features more then 100 short and feature-length films, including numerous premieres with attending filmmakers. Japan’s top actor Tadanobu Asano will be present at the opening to accept the first-ever Nippon Honour Award, sponsored by Lufthansa. A rich fringe programme for big and small brings Japanese flair to Mousonturm, the neighbouring Naxoshalle and further venues in Frankfurt – with concerts, parties, karaoke, talks and workshops related to film.
