“There is only one sky. And if that gets sick, then everything will end and everything above will fall down on top of us.” Lia Rodrigues places these words from a Yanomami shaman at the forefront of her latest evening of dance. Between what have become daily catastrophes and cruelties she looks for ways of keeping the sky up. Urban rhythms mixed with rain and storms provide the sonic landscape for a modern ritual.
