As the only completely independent production in the Georgian theatre program, we are proud to present the piece “Die Erde ruft (The Land)” by the young team of directors Alex Chigvinadze and Avtandil Diasamidze.
Mythical creatures, queens, ghosts and dancers meet somewhere between contemporary fairy-tale, Georgian myth and documentary theatre. According to the artists, many people in Georgia believe in old mythical creatures, hiding in chests in villages, in cliffs that take on human shape and blind giants rising from the waters.
