Seven years after the release of their last album, the Danish trio Efterklang return on 20 September with their fifth studio record “Altid Sammen” (i.e. “always together”). It is deep and sonorous music, steeped in the sonic experimentation that has long been their trademark since “Tripper”, the Danes’ 2004 debut. And it is as bold and ambitious in scope as their last collection of songs “Piramida”. Casper Clausen (vocals), who for the first time writes completely in his mother tongue, Mads Brauer (synths, electronics) and Rasmus Stolberg (bass) have reached another creative turning point: this time fusing baroque orchestration with their expansive signature sound.
