Just in time for his 35th stage anniversary, Rocko Shamoni will present his eighth regular album “Musik für Jugendliche” (“Music for Teens”) – not at Mousonturm, but at Hafen 2, that nice location in Offenbach am Main. A collection of moods, words, sentimentalities, declarations of love, references, melodies… The nine songs of “Musik für Jugendliche” contain an entire Schamoni cosmos, including a parting goodbye to his father who died during the recording of the album. Schamoni’s lyrics serenely sum up the end of the humanity (“Als hätte es uns nie gegeben”), remember younger days, parents’ well-meant advice, which only later make sense and puts a sparkle back into that which remains present and is yet never to come again.
