The sound architecture of a city is a genuine texture of signal and orientation noises, functional static and language, subject to the constant change of time. In the form of ethnological research into soundscapes, artist Budhaditya Chattopadhyay investigates the sonic structure, fabric and distortions of Offenbach's city. His sound archaeology lends an ear to unheard corners and places in public spaces, while exposing historical and social layers as acoustic material. The work manifests itself in the form of a mobile exhibition of collected soundscapes, accessible and audible through QR codes deposited at specific locations throughout the city.
