How do people with varied abilities and different ages get moving together? How is common action possible for this group? Jan Martens is one of the leading choreographers in Europe. His piece “any attempt will end in crushed bodies and shattered bones”, which will be presented on 12 November at the Tanzfestival Rhein-Main, investigates the relationship between dance and current political crises, together with a heterogenous ensemble. In a two-hour workshop, dancers of the piece share the working principles of Jan Martens and invite participants to explore possible forms of democratic choreography.
