Inviolate Trilogy – Part I: Presences Past

Perel

What are accessible dance practices for the expression of the inexpressible, but that use language, because movements so far have been conceived for non-disabled bodies?

Proceeding from the Nazi so-called euthanasia program, in which over 300,000 disabled people were murdered, Perel attempts to convey the unutterable. During a residency in the second pandemic lockdown of 2020, Perel and his team visited the T4 extermination facility nearest to Frankfurt am Main in Hadamar. The research continues during this year’s Tanzfestival Rhein-Main. Accompanied by the musician Dina Maccabee, Perel will open the rehearsal process and take the audience on a somatic journey in English.
