Resurrection Games Vol. II: To Paint over and to make sense – Part I

Elischa Kaminer, Alex PaxtonMayah Kadish and Joseph Havlat

Music theatre of Elishca Kaminer, by and with: Mayah Kadish, Joseph Havlat und Alex Paxton

A highly energetic concert happening in two parts for trombone, piano, synthesiser, violin and voice.

In Part I, at the end of the eve of Shabbat, queer arias, medleys and wild improvisations search for an art of playing and mourning together in a wounded world.

In his large-scale music theatre series ‘Ressurrection Games’, composer and performer Elischa Kaminer brings together a wide range of autobiographical, fictional and liturgical references with an ensemble of master musicians and performers. Gentle moments meet loud absurdities and condense into associative images and constantly shifting soundscapes.

Part II can be experienced the following morning (24 March) at 12 pm. Mapping Memories – All Together Now presents this music theatre piece in its entirety for the first time in Frankfurt.
